General Booking Terms:

  • By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
  • Prior to a booking being made, Blackwattle Alpaca Farm must be notified of any disability that may prevent someone from understanding directions, could result in unpredictable behaviour, or that limits a person’s mobility.
  • Participants must be able to understand and follow any directions given to them by farm staff during their encounter and at any time whilst on the farm.
  • For encounters where participants are required to be in our paddocks, they must be mobile enough to walk without assistance.
  • Blackwattle Alpaca Farm has the right to remove any person(s), from the farm, believed to be a danger or potential risk to themselves, any other person or our livestock. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Encounters will go ahead in Light to Moderate rain (as advised on the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Canberra Radar Loop). Wet weather encounter options are available for these conditions and customers do not need to cancel. If the customer wishes to postpone their encounter, and they have contacted us within 48 hours, we can reschedule, however a refund will not be offered in this situation.

At the farm owner’s discretion, encounters may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons such as Moderate to Heavy rain and/or High Winds (as advised on the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Canberra Radar Loop). Guests will be notified, by email and/or phone, if their tour needs to be rescheduled or cancelled. Where rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be offered if the farm owner cancels the tour.

If a guest(s) can’t attend their booked encounter, we request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Where notice provided is more than 48 hours, these three options are available:

  • reschedule to a suitable date and time
  • gift card for use at a future date
  • refund of the booking value minus your 1.9% Booking Fee and your payment Transaction Fees (Credit Card Fee: 1.55% OR PayPal Fee: 2.9%)


Where guests fall to provide us with sufficient notice an additional $30 cancellation fee will be incurred.

If guests miss their encounter, as a result of being late or through simply not showing up, they are not permitted to re-schedule and will forfeit all fees paid.
