Entry to our farm and our Farm Shop is free, however to meet our alpacas and llamas you need to book a tour!
FARM ENTRY AND OPENING TIMES
We are open Friday – Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entry to our farm and Farm Shop are free, however to meet and interact with our adorable herd you need to book an Alpaca Tour.
OUR HERD
Our alpacas and llamas are not restrained during most of our tours (e.g hand feeding tours), as such they are free to engage in or leave as they choose.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
Covered in comfortable footwear should to be worn on our farm. In summer months full length trousers and hats are recommended. Drinking water should also be carried during encounters in warm weather conditions. Bring your camera, so you can take lots of photos during your encounter.
NO PETS
As we are a working farm, members of the public are prohibited from bringing any pets/animal(s) onto our farm. In hot weather, it is dangerous to leave a pet locked in a vehicle. Please leave your pets at home. Certified Assistance Dog who have completed their training are permitted on our farm and within our Farm Shop at any time. Please notify the farm in advance if you are bringing an Assistance Dog to an Alpaca Encounter to enable us to make the suitable arrangements/changes to the tour.
HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
Height restrictions apply to children handling or interacting with our alpacas. Children with a head height lower than the height of the alpaca wither are not permitted to handle or interact with our alpacas unless they are being directly held off the ground by a parent or guardian. Additional safety advice may be provided upon arrival.
RESPECT FENCES AND SUPERVISiON
Fences between you and our animals are there to protect you and the animals from harm. Please do not open any gate or climb any fences. Remember, livestock are large and often untamed animals and can cause injury. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. Unaccompanied children (15 and under) are not permitted on our farm.
WET WEATHER
Our tour runs weather permitting. Please see the Refund Policy page for more information on our wet weather policies. Please wear enclosed shoes to the farm and gumboots if it has been raining.
SAFETY
During our tours, you will be entering the paddock where the animals live. A safety brief is given at the commencement of every tour. Please listen and abide by all safety instructions that are given to you during your tour and when interacting with our alpacas and llamas.
