DISABILITY GROUP PACKAGES
At Blackwattle Alpaca Farm, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of connecting with animals and spending time in nature!
Our inclusive group experiences have been thoughtfully designed for disability support organisations and day programs. Whether your participants use wheelchairs, walkers or have no mobility concerns, our friendly team will tailor the experience to suit your group’s individual needs.
We understand that every group has unique needs, so our friendly team delivers the tour at a comfortable pace, creating plenty of opportunities for meaningful interaction, questions, and photos. Our calm, well-trained llamas are experienced standing alongside wheelchairs, making it easy for guests to enjoy gentle, close-up encounters.
We offer two different types of tours that are perfect for disability groups and carers:
- Alpaca Connection Tour (for those with less mobility)
- Alpaca Adventure (for those with no mobility concerns)
Whether you’re visiting with a day program, support organisation, or community group, our goal is to create a fun, inclusive, and heartwarming experience that everyone can enjoy.

We offer the following tours for disability groups
Alpaca Connection Tour
Perfect for less mobile clients
- 15-minute educational talk about alpacas and llamass
- 15-minutes meet and greet with a handsome llama
- 15-minutes hand feeding our happy herd
- Engaging tour chat + time for questions + time for photos
- Add on catering package
- $30 per client (carers are free of charge with paying client)
Alpaca Adventure Tour
Perfect for clients with no mobility concerns
- 30-minute walk around the dam with your own alpaca or llama companion*
- 30-minute hand-feeding session - feed the herd from a bucket of treats
- 30-minutes to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee + sweet treat
- Engaging tour chat + time for questions + time for photos
- $50 per client (carers are free of charge with paying client)
The Alpaca Connection and the Alpaca Adventure Tours are run as a private tour for disability groups. They are available for 10 or more paying clients. Contact us if your group is less than 10 clients, to discuss tour options.
- Accessibility
Zero Entry Door Footpaths
Access to our Farm Shop, Cafe and toilets is via a zero entry door, which is a barrier free threshold. Zero entry doors make access easier for those with wheelchairs, walking frames or mobility concerns. We have concrete footpaths from the carpark to the front our building. We also have a large undercover patio area with concrete floors and wide concrete pathway, easily accessible from our Farm Shop.
Accessible Toilets
Within our Farm Shop we have two accessible toilets: Ambulant Toilet – specifically designed for individuals with ambulant disabilities that do not require the amount of space that an accessible toilet offers (such as a walking frame user). Accessible Toilet – specifically designed to provide space for wheelchair access and assistance. Includes lower mirror and wash basin, grab rails, different toilet seat colour and braille signage.
Wheelchair Access
We have flat concrete paths from the Wheelchair Accessible Carpark, around and to the front of our Farm Shop and to and from our undercover entertaining patio area. Our paddocks and picnic areas are flat and are wheelchair accessible when weather permits. Where guests have booked an alpaca tour, and accessibility is a concern, we will bring one of our alpacas or llamas to the building/formed path.
Assistance Dogs
Certified Assistance Dog who have completed their training are permitted on our farm and within our Farm Shop at any time. Pet dogs are not permitted. Please notify the farm in advance if you are bringing an Assistance Dog to an alpaca tour to enable us to make the suitable arrangements/changes to the tour.
