We’re thrilled to introduce Blackwattle Alpaca Farm as the ultimate venue for your next private function. We are a really great location, with wonderful facilities, perfect for your Christmas event, birthday party, baby shower, corporate training day or a special event. Imagine the enchantment of celebrating amidst the tranquil beauty of our farm, with alpacas and llamas as your adorable co-hosts. Whether it’s a festive family gathering or a corporate soirée, our farm provides a whimsical backdrop that guarantees an unforgettable experience for your guests.

Choose the catering options to suit your event. Catering options include:

Birthday/Celebrations Cakes: We are unable to supply birthday/celebration cakes. Guests are encouraged to bring their own. We recommend Bakers Wanna Bake (a local Murrumbateman baker), for yummy cakes. Please be advised that there is no fridge available for your use.  

Self Catering: We do not permit guests to bring their own food. All food consumed on our farm needs to be purchased from us, with the exception of birthday/celebration cakes. 

Food Allergies and Intolerances: We are not a gluten or nut free kitchen. We are unable to guarantee food totally free of allergens. Gluten free options are available. Please discuss your needs at time of booking. 

BYO or Takeaway Alcohol: BYO or takeaway alcohol is not permitted due to licensing restrictions (liquor licence: LIQO660037516).

Booking made Easy

We’re dedicated to making your visit seamless from start to finish. Our booking process is user-friendly. Please fill out the contact form telling us as much information as you can about your group or special event. Please let us know your preferences, availability and any specific requirements you may need and we will get back to you with a quote, tailored to your event needs. At Blackwattle Alpaca Farm, we believe in the power of inclusivity, fun and enjoyment and we are excited to create an experience that’s just right for your group or special event!

Additional Information

Opening Hours: We are open Friday to Sunday 10am – 4pm. Private hire outside of these times can be negotiated, subject to availability. This will incur an additional fee of $100 per hour.

Extend your Party Time: If you want to extend the time spent on our farm, for your event, this will incur an additional fee of $100 per hour. 

Payment: A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking with the remainder due 7 days prior to event. 

Confirmation of Group Numbers: Final guest list and all dietary requirements are required 7 days prior to event.

Decorations: BYO decorations are permitted but we do not allow glitter, confetti, helium balloons or piñatas due to the risk to our animals. Tidying up of the area is required prior to departure. 

Supervision: Children are to be supervised by parents/guardians at all times, whilst on the farm. Our parties are not ‘hosted’ parties therefore supervision is required at all times.

Damages and WHS Responsibilities: Blackwattle accepts no responsibility for guests’ items if damaged or lost during their visit. A safety brief is provided at the start of all events. Guests are responsible for following all safety directions provided. 

Transport: Our farm is located approximately 30 minutes from Canberra. The farm is not accessible via public transport. If you are not driving yourself, please ensure you have arranged transport options before you arrive. Do not reply on Uber, as they may not collect you from our farm.
